Cairn Energy Ltd identified the need to enhance integration of biodiversity with its environmental management processes as a key objective for 2005.

Treweek Environmental Consultants have been commissioned to:

  • Provide a biodiversity guide for Cairn setting out biodiversity inclusive procedures as required to implement Cairn's corporate policies and guiding principles;
  • Run a workshop in India to present the guide guidance and to explore options for testing its implementation; and
  • Continue the ongoing development of Corporate Policy and Strategy
